Our VLBO coffee is grown on our training farm in Bubwa, right on the shores of Lake Victoria. It is planted, cultivated and harvested by our partner AAT Ltd and entrusted local smallholder farmers and carefully roasted in Kampala to preserve its full, rich aroma.
 
We rely on sustainable, eco-friendly cultivation: no chemical fertilizers, almost no pesticides — only natural dung from our cows and goats. Farmers and unemployed workers learn on our training farm how to grow and irrigate coffee and bananas in an intercrop system, which protects the soil, provides shade for the coffee plants, and avoids monocultures. Almost no water is wasted due to the sufficient rain around the picturesque Lake Victoria.
